Why this role matters:
As a Physical Security Systems Manager, you'll own the end-to-end lifecycle of physical security systems across ICEYE's global portfolio — from initial requirements and design through commissioning, handover, and ongoing support. You'll be the technical authority ensuring our facilities are protected by best-in-class, integrated security solutions that meet local and international standards.
Who We Are
ICEYE is the world leader in sovereign intelligence from space. We deliver persistent monitoring capabilities to detect and respond to changes in any location on Earth.
ICEYE owns the world's largest and most advanced SAR (synthetic aperture radar) satellite constellation. To our customers we provide intelligence with unmatched quality, latency and revisit times, in any weather, day or night. To governments who choose to operate their own constellation we provide this proven capability as a sovereign system.
ICEYE-built constellations serve customers in defence and intelligence, environmental monitoring, insurance and emergency management. We enable fast decisions that contribute to a safer future.
Founded and headquartered in Finland, ICEYE operates globally with over 1000 employees across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.
Your day-to-day responsibilities
•
Own the full lifecycle of physical security systems — serving as technical authority across video management, access control, intrusion detection, perimeter, intercom, and visitor management systems, including all documentation, standards, and compliance.
•
Plan and deliver security systems projects end to end — from design through commissioning, managing vendors, contractors, and ensuring compliance with local and international requirements.
•
Keep all systems operational — manage preventive and corrective maintenance, vendor SLAs, incident escalation, and system updates to ensure reliability and currency.
•
Drive the security technology roadmap — evaluate emerging technologies, build business cases, and lead integration of security systems with IT/OT infrastructure to continuously improve security posture.
What we’re looking for
Must haves:
•
8+ years delivering technical security systems projects, with a proven track record of end-to-end project delivery across international and multicultural environments (at least 5 of those years in international scope).
•
Deep hands-on expertise in electronic security systems — video management systems, access control, intrusion detection, and integrated security platforms.
•
Solid working knowledge of IP networking, VLAN segmentation, PoE, cabling, and IT infrastructure as it relates to security systems.
•
Experience managing subcontractors and multi-disciplinary project teams.
•
Strong documentation capability — able to produce and review technical drawings, specifications, SOPs, and commissioning records.
•
Clear communicator — able to translate technical detail for non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to haves:
•
Experience with high-security or critical infrastructure environments.
•
Familiarity with project management tools such as JIRA.
•
Commercial awareness — experience managing budgets, variations, and subcontractor agreements.
•
Comfortable working independently in sensitive, security-conscious environments with minimal supervision.
