About Polymarket
Polymarket is the world's largest prediction market platform. We enable individuals to express views on real-world events by trading on outcomes across politics, economics, sports, culture, and current affairs. Built as a peer-to-peer marketplace with no centralized "house," Polymarket aggregates diverse opinions into transparent, market-based probabilities that reflect collective expectations about the future.
We're growing fast — both in terms of volume ($21B traded in 2025) and adoption as an alternative news source. Our ambition is to become a ubiquitous beacon of truth in global media and we need your help adding fuel to the fire.
About the Role
We're looking for a detail-oriented, business-savvy counsel to join our legal team in a supporting role across commercial and corporate matters. You'll work closely with our finance and business teams to move deals forward, keep corporate housekeeping in order, and handle a steady volume of substantive legal work with minimal hand-holding.
This role reports into our Head of Corporate, Legal and is a great fit for someone who is ready to own a real workload in a fast-moving environment.
What You'll Do
•
Support the commercial team across a wide range of agreements — M&A, financings, NDAs, vendor and services contracts, data licensing arrangements, and partnership agreements — handling drafting and negotiation across the full deal lifecycle
•
Work alongside senior commercial counsel on more complex or strategic deals, taking on meaningful portions of the work rather than just administrative tasks
•
Assist with entity maintenance, board and governance matters, and general corporate projects as they arise
•
Help maintain and improve contract templates and internal processes
•
Serve as a reliable, responsive resource for the business teams you support
What We're Looking For
•
JD and admitted to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
•
Roughly 5-6 years of experience with a mix of firm and in-house time (one year or more in-house required)
•
Ability to work through a contract efficiently, with enough deal exposure to have developed good instincts
•
Comfortable operating without a lot of direction once you understand the assignment
•
Organized, thorough, and communicative — you take ownership of your workload and follow through without needing to be chased
•
Genuinely interested in the substance of what the business does, not just the contracts sitting on top of it
•
(Plus) Background in fintech, crypto, tech, or a similarly fast-paced or regulated industry
•
(Plus) Familiarity with data agreements, API or platform terms, or marketplace business models
Benefits
•
Competitive salary & equity
•
Unlimited PTO
•
Health, Vision, & Dental coverage
•
401k match
•
Hardware setup — new MacBook Pro, big display, & accessories
