The Role
As the HR Business Partner Lead, you will lead the HR People Partner function and help shape the people strategy that enables Mistral AI to grow. You will partner with senior leaders on organizational topics, guide complex people decisions, and ensure managers and employees receive consistent, high-quality support across the business.
You will coach and support the HR People Partner team while driving the development of scalable people policies, programs, and processes. Your work will strengthen our culture, align people initiatives with business priorities, and build the foundations needed to support Mistral AI's continued growth.
What You Will Do

Lead and develop the HR People Partner team, providing coaching, guidance, and support.
•
Partner with senior leaders on organizational design, talent, performance, and employee relations topics.
•
Define and evolve people strategies that support business priorities and organizational growth.
•
Drive the development of scalable People policies, programs, and processes across the organization.
•
Use People metrics and organizational insights to inform decisions and advise leadership.
•
Ensure a consistent employee experience and approach to people practices across teams and geographies.
•
Champion Mistral AI's culture by embedding its values into leadership practices and People initiatives.
What We're Looking For
•
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
•
Significant experience leading human resources business partnering in a startup or high-growth environment.
•
Experience leading and developing People Partners or human resources teams.
•
Experience supporting international employee populations, with strong knowledge of French employment law and human resources practices.
•
Proven ability to develop and implement people strategies that align with business priorities and organizational growth.
•
Strong communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders.
•
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with confidence using data to inform decisions.
•
A hands-on approach, a builder mindset, and experience creating scalable people practices.
